WELCOME
IGFR Italy has the honor of inviting you to join us for 58th IGFR World Championship which will take place in Rome from 1 to 7 July 2023.
Rome, the capital of Italy, is a majestic city, sometimes magical.
It is an open-air museum: its monuments and churches testify to its magnificence and its history.
It has an irresistible and timeless charm, with its streets and squares that emanate scents of happiness.

Walking through the streets of Rome and playing on the chosen courses for the 58th IGFR World Championship will be a fantastic and in some ways unrepeatable experience.
You will have the opportunity to play on the course of the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, where the 2023 Ryder Cup will take place immediately after the 58th IGFR World Championship!
IGFR Italy will be happy to share with you this magnificent experience and to make you discover historical and prestigious golf courses.
We are waiting for you!

Alberto Cecchini
RI Board Director 2022-24
Dear Rotarian Golfers, dear Rotary friends. It’s an honor and a privilege to welcome you in my city Rome, as the Rotary International Board Director representing zone 14, the zone chosen to host the 58th IGFR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.
Rotary Fellowships are a key vital part of our Rotary family. Sharing common interests and passions, rotarians are able to find new areas and opportunities of service, having fun and strengthening their friendship across the world.
Rome is not only the eternal city with its “great beauty” celebrated for centuries but it is also a vital and vibrant city open to welcome people from all over the world.
It will be a pleasure to join you on the courses. See you in Rome!

Andrea Oddi
IGFR President
I’m sure IGFR will continue to grow and prosper in the years to come. We are honored to host you and wish you to spend days of competition in peace and harmony according to the spirit of the best Rotarian tradition.

IGFR Italy President
Franco Chimenti
Federazione Italiana Golf President
2023 will be a historic and unrepeatable year for Italian golf thanks to the Ryder Cup that will be held in autumn in Rome. Among the events that will celebrate the approach to the Europe-USA competition, I am particularly happy that the International Golfing Fellowship of Rotarians has assigned to Italy the organization of 58th IGFR World Championship. The tournament will be held on the playing courses of four high-profile Lazio Golf clubs such as Marco Simone – home of the Ryder Cup 2023 – Olgiata, Parco de’ Medici and Castelgandolfo. Thanks to the commitment of the Italian Association of Rotarians Golfers (IGFR – Italy), the competition will be combined with the “Golf4Autism” project, a golf lessons program for children with autism spectrum disorder with a strong inclusive value that the The Italian Golf Federation is carrying out together with the Golf Teachers of “Golf Program” and the Association “Una breccia nel Muro”. Competitiveness and aggregation will go hand in hand in the name of golf, a sport that shares the founding values of Rotary International such as friendship, loyalty and respect for the development of relationships. I am sure that all participants in the World Championship of Rotarians Golfers will have a unique experience, surrounded from the majesty of Rome which, thanks to this event, will strengthen its attractiveness as a leading destination for golf tourism.
